Sarinaā€™s ā€˜Bang Bangā€™ Salsa (recipe)

This recipe went together so quickly and easily. And boy did it pack a punch šŸ™‚ A punch of yum that is! šŸ™‚ I love how the coolness of the lettuce and tomatoes played off of the scotch bonnetā€™s heat. The combination reminded me of buljol (but without the saltfish). Feel free to use whatever lettuce you may have on hand. I used romaine this time around, because that is what was in the fridge, but next time it will probably be iceberg šŸ™‚

Ingredients:

4 small red ripe tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup onion, minced
3 leaves romaine lettuce, shredded
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1 scotch bonnet pepper, finely choped
Salt

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Serve at room temperature.
