Commenter Spotlight #1
In an effort to continue sharing the culture and cuisine of Trinidad and Tobago beyond the limits of this digital confine I’m gonna be sending out little thank-you packages to my Top 5 Commenters to date. These people have made logging onto TriniGourmet a joy for me on a daily basis and I look forward to their (and your!) feedback more than they may realize 🙂
I realize that for some a blog is a podium or soapbox to opine from. I have never really been comfortable with that format. Yes this is primarily -my- space and my tastes and likes and dislikes will predominate, but I hope that you realize that I also want you to think of it as a space where you as the reader/visitor are more than welcome to -respectfully- contribute and enrich both my knowledge and the knowledge of others who also pass by 🙂 These 5 people have all done so and my life (and this site) are all the richer for it. Thanks gals (and guy)! I will be contacting you each individually to get your contact details 🙂 I will be running this project on a random basis, so who knows… maybe next time your name may be one of those below 😀
TriniGourmet’s Top 5 Commenters
1. Marsha – who knew that Marsha (a high school classmate of mine) would also end up becoming a total foodie with her own foodblog? 🙂
2. Chennette – yet another Trini foodblogger (we seem to be a disproportionate percentage of Caribbean foodbloggers!) currently based inGuyana, somewhere in the Caribbean? Her blog has amazing photos – some of which I have featured in my own posts!
3. Lilandra – Lilandra is Chennette’s sibling and partner-in-internetcrimez 😀 Funny and witty you should totally check out her blog which combines sci-fi geekgrrl and foodography like no other 🙂
4. Veron – I had been a fan of Veron’s site for quite a while so I was surprised when she started commenting on mine 🙂 I really appreciate the support and comraderie that she has displayed. Her creations are as much works of art as they are ‘food’ 😀
5. Burekaboy – Very Canadian and very sweet, Burekaboy is one of the newest visitors and commenters on TriniGourmet. Make yourself at home here and thanks for representing all the Y chromosome foodbloggers out there 🙂
