    Hi Sarina, thanks so much for stopping by and checking out the Duckanoo and the origins of the word! I’m hoping to use some salt cod and tinned ackees soon so wish me luck! I love the look of the Macaroni Pie, it looks so delicious! Thanks again!

      ooo ackee and saltfish :D that’s a huge fave of mine :D been meaning to post my mom’s version for the longest while :) i only get to eat it every few years cos ackee isn’t readily available here :(

        it’s because everyone has searched in vain for a doubles recipe for years – particularly for one with pictures and sounds like it comes from someone who has eaten more than one. And knows what it is (I recently watched the Travel Channel’s visit to T&T where the host glouriously ate “double” after “double”…sigh – nobody explained to her that doubleS was both singular and plural).

          awww thanks :blush: lol @ travel channel tho!!! was it that annoying squeaky chick with the short reddish brown hair? oh she grates me! but andrew zimmern…. mmmm … we need to find a way to bring him here! :D
