Carmen’s Julienned Green Beans and Carrots (recipe)

Carmen's Julienned Vegetables (recipe)

The above is one of my favorite vegetable sides dishes and one that my mom can’t make enough, as far as I am concerned. Julienned slivers of green beans and carrots are sauteed in olive oil with cloves of garlic over medium heat until soft and sweet. Sometimes she leaves it on the heat too long and bits caramelized to the point of almost burnt, however this only makes it even more delicious as far as I am concerned :) Once complete all that is needed is a light sprinkling of sea salt to really make the flavours shine :) Bon Appetit!

This is excellent Sarina. I am tired of people just boiling vegetables and offering it as a sidedish.
