Caribbean Beachcomber July/August 1969 – Sebastians On The Waterfront, St. Thomas

Sebastians on the Waterfront is one of the most colorful – and oldest – of the restaurants on St. Thomas (Photo/Virgin Islands Tourist Board)
Sebastian’s on the Waterfront appears to have been a place that travellers long remembered and felt attached to. References to it on the Web can still be found in the form of ebay memorabilia auctions, and obituaries of the musicians who performed there [1]. Funnily enough I could not find any current day mention of a Sebastian’s On The Waterfront on the island of St. Thomas (as the above photo cites). I did however locate a Sebastian’s On The Beach [2]on the British Virgin Island of Tortola? Is this a transplant of the St. Thomas original? If anyone with knowledge of the area wants to chime in [3], I’d greatly appreciate it!
